Urgent investment is required in the Portobello Prom area. Lack of toilet facilities are resulting in individuals urinating and deficating in public spaces and private gardens. With large numbers of residents and tourists visiting Portobello beach on a year round basis the current circumstances are completely unsustainable. Investment should also go beyond basic facilities and include showers and changing areas. The prom itself should also be upgrade to ensure a safe flat surface for pedestrians and cyclists.
