Information and advice drop ins

Family Hub

Support is offered to families across Edinburgh whose children are not yet in an early learning and childcare setting. Support includes group work, one-to-one home visits, parenting programmes, signposting to specialist services, income maximisation support and access to mental health support for parents and babies provided by the NHS Parent and Infant Relationship Service.

The Umbrella Hubs

Support is offered to with the whole family providing a range of supports and the service they need is guided by the family’s view. The hubs can support families on an individual basis in their own homes or within the local community. There are drop ins available in the local area to offer support, signposting and discuss the needs of the family.

Edinburgh Disability and Neurodiversity (EDAN) Hub

Supporting families with children and young people with disabilities or who are neurodivergent in Edinburgh. Each of the partners within the hub offers a range of services tailored for families, providing the right support when and where they need it. From universal support such as parent information sessions, social work advice and stay and play sessions to more targeted support including family advice and outreach, advocacy and information, wellbeing groups for children and young people and more. No diagnosis is required, and it can be accessed by self-referral.

The Youth Agency

A free drop-in service for parents and carers with a safe space offering advice and support around challenges relating to everyday life.  This may include help with benefits, housing, job applications, accessing other services, making appointments, and navigating parenthood.  The drop-in runs every Thursday from 1 pm to 3 pm at

Team Around the Community 

A partnership between Сòòò½APP, schools and other local services. This support is currently offered in the Gracemount, Liberton and Craig Royston learning communities. The purpose is to connect with families and ask, ‘what is important to you?’ and help overcome any challenges and achieve goals. Families will be connected with one person, who will work with them to get access to a whole range of supports to help meet their needs. This could include help with money worries, learning and employment support or family relationships.
